Spring Tune Up

Have you been dusting off your sneakers and hitting the pavement hard? Do you have spring fever in your head but your body is saying "slow down"? Remember to begin a new exercise program slowly and steadily. Weekend warrior-like activity tends to cause more problems than you need! Try to increase your weekly mileage or activity gradually, not rapidly, whether it's running, biking, walking or whatever you choose. If you are doing everything right but your body is feeling wrong, ask your doctor if a PT consult may be appropriate for you.
